The following Standards of Practice guide the energetic and holistic practice of Elemental Touch.
DEFINITION:
Elemental Touch is an energy therapy in which practitioners use their hands to enhance and balance the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual well-being of their clients.
GOAL:
The goal in Elemental Touch is to restore harmony and balance in the energy system, facilitating the client’s self healing process.
Standard 1: Collaborative Care
Elemental Touch is a holistic therapy designed to complement conventional medical practices. It is integrated alongside other therapeutic approaches to support health and healing. Practitioners attune to each guest’s unique rhythms and needs, honoring the sacred boundary of their role. When a guest’s needs extend beyond the scope of touch therapy, referrals are made with care to trusted health professionals.
Standard 2: Equality and Acceptance
Healing is a collaborative journey in which practitioner and patient stand as equal partners. With deep respect for personal autonomy, growth, and empowerment, every individual is honored, regardless of race, creed, age, gender expression, disability, sexual orientation, or health status. Elemental Touch practitioners honor the unique spiritual beliefs and practices of each person, while remaining non-denominational and free from affiliation with any specific spiritual tradition.
Standard 3: Communication
Information shared with each client is thoughtfully tailored to their unique needs, circumstances, and personal context. Treatment explanations are offered in language that resonates with the client’s level of understanding, fostering clarity and trust.

Elemental Touch practitioners cultivate a space of safety, warmth, and gentle presence, an environment where healing feels possible, supported, and deeply respected. Informed consent is always obtained for both the therapeutic process and any hands-on touch, ensuring the client’s comfort and autonomy.
Clients are empowered to offer feedback, adjust the session, or end it at any time. Boundaries are clear, respectful, and unwavering, touch is always non-aggressive, and attuned to the client’s expressed limits. Practitioners do not engage in romantic or sexual relationships with clients. Clients can remain clothed unless a professional therapeutic context requires otherwise, in which case appropriate draping is provided to preserve dignity and ease.
